Your car’s battery is the heart of it’s electrical system. Without a healthy car battery, you aren’t going anywhere. Furthermore, replacing a car battery that just needs a good charge is a needless expense. A free car battery test will eliminate the guesswork.

Free Car Battery Testing Results Explained
The car battery testing report includes your battery’s voltage, internal resistance, state of charge, state of health, and cold cranking amp capacity measurements.
Voltage – Your battery’s current voltage reading. Generally, a good car battery should read 12.4-12.9 volts when the car is off. In reality, battery voltage can read a bit higher. Any lower though indicates a problem with either your battery or charging system.
IR (Internal Resistance) – Most car batteries should have just a few mili-ohms of internal resistance. More may signify a problem within the battery cells.
SoC (State of Charge) – State of Charge is the level of charge of an electric battery relative to its capacity. It is measured in percentage. If SoC is low, but everything else is fine, your battery may just need a charge.
SoH (State of Health) – The State of Health is a “measurement” that reflects the general condition of a battery and its ability to deliver the specified performance compared with a fresh battery. Similarly to SoC, SoH is measured in percentage.
Cold Cranking Amps – CCA is a rating used in the battery industry. It is used to define a battery’s ability to start an engine in cold temperatures. The rating refers to the number of amps a 12-volt battery can deliver at 0°F for 30 seconds while maintaining a voltage of at least 7.2 volts. So, the battery testing report shows both the battery’s rating when new, and it’s current cranking amperage capacity.
Result – Finally, the Result line is a summary of the information above. It will tell you if your battery is “Great” “Good” or in need of battery replacement.
Whatever the result, we’re more than happy to explain everything in detail. We can also go over your options to get everything back to top shape!
